What is Monday Morning Syndrome?
Now that the weekend is over, it is time for Monday syndrome! Researches show that even workaholics experience this problem.
Here is a short description about Monday syndrome that reflects its spirit (source: eksisozluk.com):
“Monday syndrome cause people to spend the weekend on the rack by thinking that they have to start working again on Monday. Those people find themselves saying ‘I don’t want to go to school/work,’ every Sunday night and ‘I don’t want to get out of bed’ every Monday morning. Hence, throughout Mondays those people tend to be aggressive and unbearable. They can only get back to normal around Tuesday.”
This syndrome is always discussed as a psychological problem but did you know that the most popular day for headaches is Monday while the least is the weekend? Sure there is also ‘weekend migraine’ where patients suffer from headaches only during the weekend but the positive effect of resting still cannot be disregarded.
It does not matter if you are happy, sad, stressed or tired. All of these are caused by bio electrical activities. When the substructure causing migraine gets fixed via “Gökmen Approach” the headache goes away but Monday syndrome stays.
Just as the eksisozluk.com user says, it is not easy getting over the “I have to work on Monday” stress which begins on Sunday afternoon. However, if you prefer to work in a job that you love and therefore do not consider it as working, you may get rid of this syndrome.
